The 2003 Edmonton Leonard Cohen Night event was emceed by
Bob Chelmick, host of CKUA's "Alberta Morning" and "The Road
Home" (from 4-6 PM) and Canada's "Queen of the Topical Song"
Nancy White (from 7-9 PM). It was held Sunday, September 21st at the
Hellenic Canadian Community Centre, 10450 116th Street from 4 PM on, with
dinner at 7 PM. The meal was on a Cohen theme with food especially flown in
from Montreal for the event, a very popular feature of our 2002 event. A
silent auction was held and there was much Cohen memorabilia for sale.
Well known local performers were featured and there was a dance performance
and an extended open mic session from 9:15 PM on.
